A resident of Arizona. this is a medium sized, stocky hummingbird with a long tail and compact large headed. The bill is shorter than the length of his/her head. This adult male shows the typical rose to reddish orange helmet and gorget. Anna's can be found in gardens, open woodlands, feeders, chaparral, and canyons. In the U.S. Anna's are found in a small part of New Mexico, Arizona, and the west coast. I normally only see Anna's at my house during migration.
