White-crowned Sparrow - Zonotrichia leucophrys

The White-crowned Sparrow is a large, deep bellied and chested, borad necked sparrow with a conical bill. It has a rounded crown and fairly long notched tail. Adults look the same with a black and white striped head, black lateral crown stripe and eyebrows. The rest of the face, neck and breast is a pale unmarked gray. Brown back with two dotted white wing bars. This sparrow is found throughout the United States. I get a lot of these in my yard during the spring and summer.
