A picture of the first Song Sparrow I ever saw in my yard. Song Sparrows are found throughout the United States and Canada. Song Sparrows have heavy streaking on the breast and flanks, normally they will have an irregular shaped breast mark. Has a dull brown crown with a narrow gray central stripe, broad gray eyebrow and a dark brown eyeline, white or off-white eye-ring, a broad dark malar streak and a gray to clay colored moustache region. Divided into 4 subgroups with different colorations.
